VAT EXEMPTION DECLARATION
I confirm that I am eligible for VAT relief under HMRC VAT Notice 701/7 as the goods supplied are intended for my personal use due to a long-term illness or disability.
I declare that the information provided is true and accurate. I understand that if this declaration is found to be incorrect, HMRC may recover the VAT directly from me.
Freedom Mobility – Terms & Conditions of Sale
These Terms & Conditions form part of the contract of sale between Freedom Mobility and the customer.
All products supplied by Freedom Mobility are fully tested, assessed, and released to the highest possible standard prior to dispatch or collection.
Warranty
- The applicable warranty period is stated on the customer invoice and forms part of the contractual agreement.
- New products are covered by the manufacturer’s parts warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. Freedom Mobility warrants the collection/redelivery and labour.
- Pre-Loved / Reconditioned products are covered by a Freedom Mobility warranty, the duration of which is specified on the invoice.
Warranty Coverage
Warranty covers mechanical and electrical components only, subject to fair wear and tear and correct use.
Items Not Covered Under Warranty
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the following items are excluded from warranty:
- Batteries
- Tyres and inner tubes
- Motor brushes
- Brake components
- Bulbs, fuses, trims, and body panels
- Upholstery, seats, armrests, and cosmetic items
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, impact, water ingress, incorrect charging, unauthorised repairs, or modifications
Warranty Terms
- This is a Return-to-Base warranty, unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
- The customer is responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to Freedom Mobility for inspection or repair.
- Freedom Mobility will cover the cost of re-delivery following completion of authorised warranty work.
- Where an inspection determines that a fault is not covered under warranty or is due to user error, Freedom Mobility reserves the right to charge for inspection, labour, parts, and any call-out fees incurred.
Returns, Cancellations & Cooling-Off Period
Distance Sales – 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Purchases made online or over the phone are subject to a 14-day cooling-off period in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
- The cooling-off period begins on the day the goods are received by the customer.
- The customer must notify Freedom Mobility in writing of their intention to cancel within this period.
Exclusions to the Cooling-Off Period
The cooling-off period does not apply where:
- The product has been seen, demonstrated, tested, or assessed in person prior to purchase
- The product is bespoke, customised, or ordered to specific customer requirements
- Preparation, modification, or production has commenced
- The product is a Cabin Car (new or reconditioned) due to its nature and configuration
Returns & Refusals
- All returns or refusals of delivery are chargeable to the customer, including but not limited to:
- Collection costs
- Transportation
- Inspection
- Re-palletising and handling
- Returned items must be received in the same condition as supplied.
- Any damage, use, missing items, or deterioration may result in deductions from any refund due.
Repairs & Replacements
- Where a return is accepted, Freedom Mobility reserves the right to:
- Repair the product
- Replace the product
- Offer an alternative product of equal or greater value
- Any replacement or swap is made solely at the discretion of Freedom Mobility.
Refunds, where applicable, will be issued once the product has been returned, inspected, and approved.
Delivery & Packaging
- All scooters are delivered secured on a protective pallet to minimise the risk of transit damage.
- Protective materials may include, but are not limited to:
- Pallets
- Cardboard
- Shrink wrap
- Transport bracing
- All packaging and attachments must be removed prior to use.
- Packaging materials are supplied for protective purposes only and do not form part of the product.
Return Notification Requirement
All requests to cancel, return, or reject goods must be submitted in writing to:

Notifications made via telephone, social media, messaging platforms, or in person will not be deemed valid.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
